The next evolution
in transition support

Designed for districts & educators like you

Transition planning for high school students with disability can be challenging. Many administrators and educators want to do it more effectively.

TCSS+ is a federally-funded research project designed to improve transition planning in your school district. No matter where educators are on this journey or if your district is urban, rural, or suburban.

Why we’re a PLUS

TCSS+ builds on a team-based professional development model grounded in adult learning principles and research-based transition practices.

The original TCSS demonstrated increasing educator knowledge of transition assessment and improving quality transition planning.

TCSS+ expands that foundation by adding a structured coaching component with deeper support for educators to take the training to the next step in your school. Systematic data collection will strengthen evidence of success.

Why this research

This is the first study of its kind to collect data that measures the training impact  on teacher AND student outcomes.

To ensure the training makes a difference, we need stronger evidence of the impact on both educator practice and student outcomes.

Your participation helps us evaluate the effectiveness of the + model of training and coaching.

This is your chance to contribute to transition research while strengthening your own practice and outcomes in your district.

Benefits of research

By participating in this research, your school has the opportunity to help shape solutions that improve outcomes for students nationwide.

The insights gained through TCSS+ will inform future policy, guide effective practices, and ensure successful approaches can be shared and scaled nationwide.

As educators, this is your chance to be part of meaningful innovation and gain skills and confidence for student-centered transition planning.
